On the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month, there is a Children's Chapel. On the 1st and 3rd Sunday, children join the beginning of the regular service, then are "sung out" to Religious Education (RE). RE is available every Sunday when there is a regular service at 10.30am. The program includes an age-appropriate introduction to all the major religions of the world and to ethical behavior. During the summer, the regular programs are replaced with supervised games and other activities.
There are many programs at other times, including age-specific activities for teens and other ages. See the RE Annual Report, special RE inserts in the Unicorn or review an online sample copy of the Flight of the Unicorn newsletter.
In addition to the religious education programs, babysitting is generally available for members during major social events, but it is best to check in advance.
UU Principles for Kids
A Unitarian Universalist believes
That each and every person is important
That all people should be treated fairly
That our congregations are places where
all people are accepted and where we
keep on learning together
That each person must be free to
search for what is true and right in life
That everyone should have a vote about
things that concern them
